75W Ellipsoidal Mirror Lamp Housing & Igniter
The Classic lamphouse has been a part of our product range for over a decade. It's compact design features an integral igniter to eliminate stray radiation during switch on, and it comes with a separate power supply unit. Lamp mountings can be provided for either our standard 75W high point intensity xenon arc lamp or the 75W xenon flash lamp. The lamp is mounted horizontally to maximise the amount of light that can be captured, with the output focussed onto a liquid light guide in our standard configuration. For users wanting the maximum possible point intensity from the xenon arc we have re-engineered the lamphouse to create the Optosource. This will be of interest to customers interested in very high speed imaging, but we have maintained the classic source in the catalogue as it provides more than sufficient light for many applications. Where bleaching of the preparation is a potential problem the Classic source may well be the lamphouse of choice.
