This is our basic flash lamp system, and it includes both the Flash System
Controller, P115/PSU/000 and the lamphouse
itself. It is normally used with our single wavelength optical adapter P125/xxx/025
and a liquid light guide to inject the broad spectrum xenon flash into a microscope
epifluoresence coupling. The lamphouse contains a large ellipsoidal mirror,
with an aperture of f#2.5 which focuses light via the optical adapter onto
the end of the light guide. For combining flash photolysis with continuous
illumination we have a dual light guide coupling which fits our standard range
of microscope adapters.
