The lamphouse output coupling has been designed for the Optosource
output and provides the physical coupling between the lamphouse and the
next hardware component in the optical path. The coupling attaches directly
onto the Optoscan monochromator, or to the optical adapter (P125/Fxx/025)
which feeds the light into a light guide (P135/015/002)
via a filter assembly. The lamphouse coupling can be provided with a fully
closable iris diaphragm to shut off the light output and provide additional
control over the light intensity. Custom versions of this coupling allow
connection of third party light sources to standard Cairn hardware.
