The optical adapter is a modular component that connects
the lamphouse output coupling to a light guide via optional filter holders.
It is split into three sections, namely the input from the the lamphouse
coupling, the central filter holder portion which accomodates 25mm filters,
and the output to a light guide. The central portion contains two fixed
filter holders in the basic variant of the adapter, either or both of which
can be exchanged for sliding filter holders to form a more versatile coupling.
There is also the option of installing the Optospin rotary filter changer
in place of the two fixed filter holders, as they have been designed with
the same optical path length.
