C186 - Dove Prism Assembly
This component is of particular value in specialised imaging set-ups, or for use with a photodiode array for cell edge detection. The optical properties of the prism allow the image from the sideport of a microscope to be rotated, to achieve a specific orientation on the detection device.
This is typically used for ensuring that a cell image is lined up horizontally relative to a photodiode array. The dove prism holder allows a variation in the rotation angle of over 90 degrees.
