At this stage we would recommend referring to the section on verifing operation of the rotor in isolation before installing it into the light path. Having checked that the rotor behaves as expected we would suggest confirming the wavelengths of the preinstalled filters and their position in the wheel. Standard resistor colour coding is used as described in section (9).
To fit or replace filters:
- First remove the lid by releasing the two allen key screws on the top of the unit.
- Filters and blanks are fitted into the wheel by means of a radial grub screw. Great care should be taken to ensure that the optical surface of the filters is not damaged during fitting, and that the filters are fully seated and fixed firmly in place without overtightening.
- Filters should always be installed with the colour coding visible.
- Replace the lid, refitting the two retaining screws.
Having confirmed that the required filters are installed, the rotor wheel can be fitted into the optical adapter with the colour coding facing AWAY from the light source.
